Waive Chapter 7 Filing Fee (Form 103B)

Background:

This application applies to chapter 7 individual debtors only.

The bankruptcy court may waive the filing fee in an individual debtor's chapter 7 case if the court determines that such individual:

Official Form 103B

Those seeking a waiver of the fee must complete and file Official Form 103B (and check the appropriate box on the petition).

 

Step-by-Step Procedures:

  1. Select [Bankruptcy>Motions/Applications]

     

  2. Enter case number and click Next

     

  3. Select Waive Chapter 7 Filing Fee (Form 103B) from pick list and click Next

     

  4. Select Debtor(s) from party pick list

     

  5. Click Next

     

    The Attorney / Party Association screen may display.

     

  6. The PDF Document selection screen will display.

    Click Browse button and navigate to locate the appropriate document/file

     

  7. View file to verify the correct file is being selected

     

  8. Click Open button and filename will appear in the browse window

    Note: A proposed order is not required for this application

     

  1. Click Next

     

  1. The Modify Text screen will display. Click Next

    If applicable, you may make a selection from the prefix dropdown box

     

  1. The Final Text screen will display. Verify the accuracy of the docket text

     

  2. Click Next to complete filing process

     


The Notice of Electronic Filing will display.  It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.

Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.  You have a period of 15 days for a one time free look at the document filed.
